Detroit, or the world, has never produced a car that rivals with cars muscle in the 1960s and early 1970's They were large, powerful and wonderfully unrefined. No one would call them sports car in the traditional sense. They were not agile and curves were dangerous at any speed. However, what they lacked in sophistication that were made for brut force. In many ways the GTO, Mustangs, Road Runners and his brothers represent the American character better than any past or present vehicle. Simplicity, reliability, strength, and the singularity of purpose were their calling cards. Nobody could confuse the purpose of these beasts.
